--We were thrilled to discover this late 1950's, early 1960's vintage cookie tin, complete with made in Japan red flocked deer image. Aside from a dent in edge of the lid, it cleaned up beautiful and is marked Macy's. Click on the photo.

--It’s Sci-Fi Saturday on Toys & Stuff…Today’s toy is a wonderful repo of a Golden Age of Space Toys classic – the Dimestore Dreams Spaceship X-100. Dimestore Dreams debuted at the 2000 Toy Fair and was a subsidiary of Binary Arts a prize winning manufacturer of children's toys, puzzles, and games. Bill Hanlon, noted toy designer, authority and author of the celebrated book "Plastic Toys: Dimestore Dreams of  The 40s & 50s".   1. I do hope you will all try this recipe. It's been in my family since at least the 50's, and we only have it at Christmas. This year my sister tried something different, serving it with a dollop of creme freche.Hugs and kisses
