PHOTOS FROM RIVER DAY 2012, CROTON YACHT CLUB, PART 4, BRIGID FARANDA & RIVER DOG

UPDATE: SEE THE 2012 RIVER DOG WINNER HERE http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2012/09/and-winner-of-coveted-title-river-dog.html

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Despite strong winds and intermittent rain, HUDSON RIVER DAY 2012 at The Croton Yacht Club proceeded as scheduled. The chowder was great, the exhibits were wonderful, and real community outreach and fellowship were the order of the day.

We'll be posting lots of photos in the days ahead.

One of the highlights of River Day is the selection--by popular vote--of RIVER DOG.  Conceived by Croton's own Brigid Faranda, an accomplished photographer in her own right, visitors put a biscuit in the container for the dog of their choice--then the winner is announced later. (We'll let you know who won River Dog 2012 soon!) Click on the photos below.
