Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our
history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short,
EVERYTHING CROTON.
Despite
strong winds and intermittent rain, HUDSON RIVER DAY 2012 at The Croton
Yacht Club proceeded as scheduled. The chowder was great, the exhibits
were wonderful, and real community outreach and fellowship were the
order of the day.
We'll
be posting photos in the days ahead.
One of the great things about yesterday's event was the opportunity to see the work of talented local artists: Lisa Steffens (www.lisasteffens.com), Kent Patterson (www.kenthudsonart.com), and Rutheny's Brook Street Gallery (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/01/nyregion/nyregionspecial2/01wepeople.html?fta=y). I wish it hadn't been so windy but I had a great time with my two nephews from Brooklyn who thought Croton was the most "bestest place to live in the whole world". Would that everyone here saw it this way,we'd all be better off.
