CONGRATULATIONS DAVE KONIG--His spec script for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was just chosen as a SEMI-FINALIST in the 2020 Scriptapalooza TV Writing Competition. This on the heels of his screenplay, Good Luck Mr. Gorsky, being chosen as a FINALIST in the 2020 SF Indie Film Screenwriting Competition and a SEMI-FINALIST in the 2020 Story Pros Screenplay Competition.

Truly a sad day....In June 2019 Teatown Lake Reservation, a nature preserve and environmental education center, announced its decision to move forward with demolition of the Croft, a c. 1914 Tudor style mansion built by antiques dealer Arthur Vernay from pieces of centuries’ old English manor houses. “The New York Herald described the house as “probably the first completely antique Tudor house which was ever been constructed in America… Every particle of material used in the structure once formed a part of some ancient English dwelling.”“

Who died this date in 1976.....Salvatore Mineo Jr. (January 10, 1939 – February 12, 1976) was an American actor, singer and director. Mineo is best known for his Academy Award-nominated performance as John "Plato" Crawford opposite James Dean in the film Rebel Without a Cause (1955).
Mineo also received a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role in Exodus (1960). A 1950s teen idol, Mineo's acting career declined in his adult years. He was murdered in 1976. Read more here.

Yes, it's true--bottle brush trees are the preferred tree for Christmas putz villages---but we came
across this Russian youtube crafter---pictures are explanatory
enough in the video so language is not an issue---there are some very interesting trees using everything from
paper to ribbon to glitter foam to straws.

ld Stock from West Germany==Ladybug Dresdens==Lacquer-Painted Foil Die Cuts--FROM BLUMCHEN! We purchased these charming red ladybugs back in the mid-1980's from Party Bazaar, a wonderful, old-time stationery shop that was located on 5th Avenue in New York City just across the street from the old B. Altman's department store. Party Bazaar had a wide selection of crafting supplies, many of which were old stock -- so we were delighted to find these colorful Dresden ladybugs, still in their original cello packages with "Made in Western Germany" labels. Now at least 35 years old, our sheets of paper foil Dresden ladybugs are in excellent, unused condition. NO LONGER BEING MADE; SEE THEM HERE WHILE THE LINK LASTS.

Partners In Caring competition is held in ShopRites across the
Northeast. The contest is a collaborative effort between our generous
customers, associates, and vendor partner, General Mills. During
September’s fundraiser, associates compete in a friendly competition
designed to raise funds in support of the ShopRite Partners In Caring
program and bring awareness to the issue of hunger in our community.
Join us on Thursday, 3/12 at 12:30pm as
we unveil a special-edition Cheerios box featuring Sandy Puglielli and
Nora Bellamy, two of our hunger fighting associates that went above
& beyond in collecting donations. Since the ShopRite Partners In
Caring program began in 1999, more than $40 million has been donated to
local food banks. One thing is for sure… we couldn’t do it without you!
