The Pepsi Christmas ad "goes against the flow" not only in advertising a competitor to Coca Cola, whose advertising department nearly "defined" Christmas for decades. It also includes an American Flyer train, instead of the Lionel trains that are inevitably shown in ads of this era. As a person who prefers Pepsi to Coke and used to run American Flyer trains, I enjoyed seeing this ad!
