SUMMERFEST 2025 -- A BIG SUCCESS FOR THE RESPECT FOR LIFE SOCIETY AT HOLY NAME OF MARY

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton -- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

To the editor,

Summer Fest last week was a big success for The Respect For Life Society, based out of Holy Name of Mary Church. Visitors enjoyed our displays, checked out our hand-knitted baby blankets for sale, and the life-sized cardboard image of Pope Leo XIV was also very well-liked. We had many great conversations, got many new people interested in our work, and collected donations for our ongoing charitable work.

Just this past November we raised close to $2,000 for Birthright in Peekskill and another $2,000 for St. Christopher’s Inn in Garrison. Every year we work hard to help charities both local and distant that help moms, families and individuals experiencing a variety of challenges.

Also, thank you to our local Croton Police Department for keeping the event safe and fun for everyone. Your hard work is always greatly appreciated!

If anyone would like to hear more about the charitable work we do and want to support it, please stop by the church office and leave your contact details for us. We will definitely get in touch.

Sincerely,
Jessica Dieckman
