First up, a 1956 Christmas ad for Prince Matchabelli perfume..because every woman deserves a crown...and white gloves...and fur...and pearls. From a previous auction at SERIOUSTOY.COM, the 1890 Loughlin Bros PRETTY VILLAGE #2. Really outstanding lithography--although one house was missing from the set. And finally, courtesy of LOC, Bain News Service, "AT Christmas, A Show Window"--photo taken between ca. 1910 and circa 1915---and doll collectors will be in heaven.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST was on TCM the other day. That reminded us about our friends at European Film Star Postcards and their two-part post on Italian actress Claudia Cardinale, one of our favorites...

If you see her in nothing else, we highly recommend this fab spaghetti western....it's a long film--but excellent--and well cast, with a villainous Henry Fonda, the hero Charles Bronson, Jason Robards and more here
