HUGO IODICE HAS PASSED AWAY

Your editor received the very sad news this morning that Hugo Iodice passed away unexpectedly last night. As soon as funeral arrangements are made, they will be posted here.

I first met Hugo ten plus years ago in Croton's Upper Village over an Italian ice "imported" from The Bronx. His keen insights into Croton's political scene--and on the art of being "Italian" for lack of another way to put it--were often potmarked with outrageously funny commentary worthy of a television special. He was generous and kind, relished his role as a father to his two sons, and was in the end, just a very good person who will be missed. Sending my deepest condolences to Martha and his family.

  4. Hugo was one of a kind. He provided excellent advice and guidance on the professional side of his life, but more importantly he was a good man, husband and father. My deepest sympathy to Martha and the boys.
