CROTON FIREFIGHTER DANIEL VLAD JR. RECEIVES EAGLE SCOUT PROMOTION, MARCH 2016

A very BIG Everything Croton Shout-out! Courtesy of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Dept. FB page: On Saturday, March 12th, Firefighter Daniel Vlad Jr. of Harmon Engine Company No. 3 was awarded the honor of earning the highest award a Boy Scout can achieve - that of an Eagle Scout.

Vlad earned this from his many years of active participation in Troop 28 of the Boy Scouts, where he recently helped create a memorial for a 6 Year-Old girl who died of an accidental drug overdose in Croton last year. In addition to his participation in the Boy Scouts, Vlad has been a member of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department since he turned 14, starting as a member of Explorer Post 2089, and now as an Active Firefighter alongside his father, Daniel Vlad, as well as his Uncle (Ex-Chief Bill Vlad) and Cousins (Lt. William Vlad & Firefighter Taylor Vlad).

Vlad currently attends SUNY Albany, and continues to be an active part of the CFD on his breaks from school.

Congratulations, Daniel, and keep up the good work! See more here on.fb.me/1pGgrmj
