TURTLES AT THE DUCK POND

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

It seems hard to imagine that just a few years ago, Croton's Duck Pond was essentially pronounced D.O.A. by a former official. Since that time and thanks to the hard work and research of the all-volunteer citizen's Duck Pond Committee, the water is clear and all manner of life has returned to what was once allowed to become a fetid green mire. Just yesterday alone, we spotted 14 turtles, most of them new hatchlings, warming themselves in the sun. Click on the photo.

P.S. The swan was back yesterday as well. Stay tuned for more photos.
