Yesterday was Cary Grant's birthday and we couldn't let that go by without making mention of one of our favorite films: Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. (Click on the 1949 ad for Yale Locks!) Of course, for some of us vintage Christmas collectors, Cary will always be Dudley from THE BISHOP'S WIFE, a favorite of ours at Christmas time.

For all you collectors of tin toys, Sara found a very interesting Italian site—some of it is in English too—it provides some nice background on the producers of these toys as well http://www.tanktoy.it/index.html#
More “pushing tin” from Toy Connect: a tin-litho jet from Linemar, Marx's Japanese subsidiary, possibly an F-86 Sabre jet, circa 1950’s http://toyconnect.blogspot.com/2012/01/pushing-tin-linemar-5th-air-force-f-86.html
