MORE EVERYTHING CROTON'S FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC.

One of the great things about putting away Christmas—and having so many vintage Christmas collector friends!--is the opportunity to photograph individual pieces up close and personal. A friend--Lady J--was doing so today and so...the early vintage cardboard sleigh to the right (made in Japan) has all the bells and whistles--celluloid deer, a clay faced cotton Santa, and an early bottle brush tree with spun cotton fruit and lead--that's right--LEAD apples. To see more of Lady's J's outstanding vintage Christmas collection, click the links—some very early made in Japan coconut putz:

We had a lot of requests to re-load the 50th anniversary 1929 Woolworth’s promotional booklet; here it is—now in a permanent set http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/sets/72157628978332571/
