One of the great things about putting away Christmas—and having so many vintage Christmas collector friends!--is the opportunity to photograph individual pieces up close and personal. A friend--Lady J--was doing so today and so...the early vintage cardboard sleigh to the right (made in Japan) has all the bells and whistles--celluloid deer, a clay faced cotton Santa, and an early bottle brush tree with spun cotton fruit and lead--that's right--LEAD apples.
