AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY... FAUCI... YET AGAIN...

Six and a half years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and after years of most in the media and the political class pretending it never happened, our response to the spread of the coronavirus is back in the news. All thanks to the not-so-fearless leader of our pandemic policy making, former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Anthony Fauci.

Fauci spent years, starting in early 2020 and beyond, as the center of attention in the United States and beyond. And boy did he know it and revel in it. Promoted by the media as a star "expert," an unbiased keeper of all scientific knowledge, and made into a celebrity thanks to his obvious political leanings and anti-Trump messaging, Fauci became beloved. Just ask him.

The release of his diaries though, revealed some thoroughly discrediting and upsetting details about Fauci's private beliefs.

He knew that lockdowns weren't working, saying that cases seemed to rise and fall regardless of what was closed and when. He knew that there was no justification for masking other than "everyone else is doing it already," and a desire to fit in with the CDC. He knew that COVID-19 vaccines weren't stopping the spread, and even worried about getting infected at an event that required proof of vaccination to attend. Dear Editor,

I write to clear up some apparent confusion regarding the role of the Croton Democratic Committee in the political process – both in general and specifically with respect to the current candidates for Croton Village Justice.

The endorsement of the Croton Democratic Party does not get anyone on, or keep anyone off, the ballot. When the Croton Democratic Committee endorses a candidate, its members will assist the endorsed candidate in getting the requisite number of signatures to get on the ballot. But the candidate that did not receive the endorsement can still seek the party line by gathering the requisite signatures. When this happens there is a primary where voters choose the candidate. This is what recently occurred in the primary for Congressional District 17, where Cait Conley prevailed in a contested Democratic primary contest and will run on the Democratic party line in November. CHATTER ABOUT MIDNIGHT "THUMPING MUSIC" again; didn't hear it; again, these things are best reported to village officials as opposed to social media.

There's been some downright funny memes regarding AOC's "frozen eggs"---some clever, if not also annoying, new names for the Harmon area with all the planned multifamily etc. housing and planned pot shops area rezoning----some disturbing and/or also amusing commentary on the escalating Jason Arday scandal-----new vaccine stuff (that warrants a completely separate post)----and the cartoon with the wall dividing the village is allegedly being made into a Tee-shirt! 

Will let you find all this on your own if the admins haven't removed it all by now.

There's been some chatter about folks attending the next DEI/IDEA meeting on Friday but it's in the afternoon and work makes it impossible for most.  Leaving that for others to navigate....
