POST SCHOOL ELECTION CHATTER, BOTS, BLOCKING, YADA YADA YADA

Many of us are not on social media but we get to hear about it periodically and are sometimes sent screenshots...trending at the moment:

***BOTS..... bots.... everywhere a bot..... yes one site is particularly overrun. Nothing to be done---Let it suffice to say that Facebook is flooded with bots because the platform is huge, profitable to exploit, and difficult to police at scale. Billions of fake accounts are created and removed every year, yet new ones appear just as fast. Our advice? Choose what pages you visit and post on wisely.

***FACEBOOK BLOCKING***The merits/ethics of using the facebook "blocking" mechanism when possible, under discussion, across multiple sites

***LOTS OF POSITIVE CHATTER ABOUT THE SCHOOL ELECTION OUTCOME; A REAL REFLECTION OF THE CHANGE THAT'S DESIRED....AND POSSIBLY COMING. UNHAPPINESS ABOUT THE LIBRARY....NO POINT IN REPEATING.
