BEWARE THE VERY DANGEROUS PLANT KNOWN AS THE GIANT HOGWEED

At Everything Croton, we always make it an annual point to talk about THE VERY DANGEROUS PLANT KNOWN AS THE GIANT HOGWEED in the months of May and June. This is typically the time in which these plants reach their amazing size of 10 to 15 feet (click on the public domain photo).

For those who don't know, THE GIANT HOGWEED can cause massive and painful blistering if any of the juice/sap makes skin contact. It should never be removed by a homeowner but by a professional only.

Suspected sightings should be reported to the NYSDEC immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THIS PLANT!
