OY............Oh those "WE HATE WHATEVER HOLIDAY" manifestos that occasionally come our way-- and which will never see the light of day here at the blog.
for the record and with a chuckle or two:
--At this blog, a Christmas Tree is not a "holiday tree"...similarly, a Menorah is not a Candelabra....we celebrate Mother's Day...and Father's Day.......and gasp....July 4th.....
--At this blog, traditional pronouns will always be used.
--At this blog, we know the difference between a Confederate flag and a Norwegian flag; for those who don't, this article is recommended before you knock on a local neighbor's door.
--At this blog, we have no problem promoting our local businesses, our houses of worship, our military, fire fighters, fraternal organizations, police, charitable endeavors, (did we mention July 4th) and more.
p.s. We love FLAG DAY TOO.
And finally, if these things are an issue for you, take a deep breath and smile. To these individuals, a reminder: You are fortunate to live in a country where there are--at least for the moment--still numerous outlets for such commentary and "conversation". You are urged to post such views on those sites instead. Or in the alternative, to start your own blog.
