Billions of fake accounts are created and removed every year, yet new ones appear just as fast. Our advice? Choose what pages you visit and post on wisely.

Many of us are not on social media, local or otherwise, but we often get to hear about it and are sometimes sent screenshots. A few weeks back, there were considerable complaints about a "political protest" in the CVS lot from both store owners and customers whose occupants, "largely composed of Peekskill residents, were disruptive to the day's business". Quick video clips were also allegedly posted online but we did not see these and preferred to wait until there was official confirmation. The two young alleged gunmen who descended upon a San Diego Islamic facility on Monday -- killing three men and themselves -- have been identified, along with early indications of their motives.
