He works within their American Dynamism division; Penny’s hiring at a16z was reportedly supported by firm leadership, who cited his "courage in a tough situation" and expressed a commitment to evaluating people beyond their most difficult moments.

The father of Jordan Neely is suing civilly but this is expected to take years to resolve.
