WCFPC FINDS FOR PUGH IN TWO OUT OF THREE COMPLAINTS HE FILES AGAINST VoC

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee, which met by Zoom on October 20 to hear three complaints lodged by Mayor Brian Pugh against Voice of Croton candidates Gary Eisinger, Stacey Nachtaler, and Nigel Ravelo, announced today that it had found in favor of Pugh in two of the three cases.

The response of VoC is as follows:

We contacted Voice of Croton to get their reaction and were provided with the following statement:

“Complaint # 1. Serving dual roles statement

We believe our statements constitute legitimate and acceptable political discourse, and respectfully disagree with the findings of the commission.

It is a matter of opinion whether anyone serving in two paid government positions simultaneously has the potential for a conflict of interest and our statement did not go beyond that.

Complaint #2. 80/20 Housing Statement

The commission took issue only with the failure to identify the source of our statement explicitly. The commission’s findings do not make any conclusion as to the substance of our statement.”
