GUEST EDITORIAL, THE CROTON CHRONICLE; CROTON DESERVES A REAL CHOICE THIS ELECTION

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton-on-Hudson: our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

by Gary Eisinger, Stacey Nachtaler & Nigel Ravelo for Croton of Croton

Did you know that Croton-on-Hudson hasn’t seen a contested village election in eight years? When one party nominates candidates without even holding a primary - as has been the case since 2012 - it’s only natural for residents to start questioning whether our local democracy is functioning as best as it could.

From now through November 2 (early voting) and on Election Day, November 4, Croton residents have a choice. The Mayorship and two (out of 4) Trustee seats are up for re-election. This is a rare opportunity to make your voice heard and reinvigorate local democracy for Croton — one that thrives on competition, openness, and civic engagement.  READ MORE AT Guest Editorial: Croton Deserves a Real Choice This Election.
