New York’s Draft State Energy Plan will shape how energy is produced, distributed, and regulated for years to come. The choices made will affect every household and business in the state.

Here’s what’s at stake:
--Losing natural gas - our most reliable, life-saving heat during winter storms and outages (Buffalo Blizzard 2022: 11 dead without heat).
--Soaring energy bills - higher costs from forced mandates.
--Hazardous battery storage (BESS) sites - being pushed statewide, even though NYSERDA CEO Doreen Harris’s own town of Duanesburg has banned them over fire and safety risks.
--Job losses - as higher energy costs drive manufacturers and other businesses out of New York.
