THE CROTON CHRONICLE--UPDATE ON TODAY'S STORY RE: VILLAGE CODE ENFORCEMENT AGAINST LENNY AMICOLA--REPONSES FROM VILLAGE OFFICIALS AND OTHERS

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

THE CROTON CHRONICLE---This morning we published a whistleblower letter sent to the village on September 8 by Croton’s Code Enforcement Officer, Thor Snilsberg. In the letter, Snilsberg wrote that he had been pressured into taking code enforcement action against Lenny Amicola’s Trump display on Grand Street by Village Manager Bryan Healy, despite his misgivings about the wisdom and legality of such actions. 1. I've spoken to the code enforcement officer regarding signage. I found him to be affable, knowledgeable, and ready to listen. If what he said in his letter can be verified(I believe it can) then the collusion between the board, the mayor and village manager and their legal counsel is pervasive. They have violated their oath of office. They cannot continue the business of the village and they must stand down and allow an independent trustee to conduct village business until the allegations are verified. Anything they say or do going forward is tainted. I've said many times that one party rule is a recipe for corruption. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I'm disgusted and dismayed by these clowns who should know better. I can only hope that they are all voted out or censured or sued during the upcoming election. Voting the Dem party line in November will only enhance their arrogance. The Voice of Croton candidates will get my vote to clean house and point us in a new direction. This is a terrible time for the Village of Croton
