On June 14th 2011 (FLAG DAY), UMAMI Restaurant (Located at the corner of South Riverside and Oneida Avenues in the heart of Harmon) held a special event in commemoration of Flag Day. (CLICK ON THE PHOTO.) They donated half their profits to the American Legion Post 505 and VFW Post 5197 in Croton. In addition, they also hosted a group of WWII Vehicle collectors and reenactors who displayed vintage vehicles and uniforms from WWII.
The restaurant opened at 5 PM and featured an extended menu. We couldn't stay for the festivities but here's some photos of a World War II Army jeep that was on display in the lot. All photos, all rights reserved, M. Cudequest:
