THE CROTON ARBORETUM, A POST SANDY UPDATE

We were very happy to hear that damage at the Croton Arboretum was surprisingly light despite Hurricane Sandy and the recent snowstorm. It's officially open, but the entrance road remains blocked by a fallen tree; visitors will need to walk in until the village is able to clear the road.   1. They're very fortunate it was not worse. I lost three of my smaller but favorite maples during this year's event. They were a sizable financial investment for me to make and I won't be replacing them any time soon.
