Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton-on-Hudson:
our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of
worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Here are some photos, in no particular order, from tonight's God Squad Sleep-out at Holy Name of Mary. Food was provided by Hopscotch and Baked by Susan.
Squad members collected monetary donations, men's and women's clothing, dry goods,
toiletries, and canned food. Donations will benefit CHOP’s
Fred Food Pantry & Jan Peek House and Holy Name of Mary’s Midnight
Run Ministry. They will also be accepting donations in the morning.
Click on the photos below, all rights reserved. High resolution copies have been sent to the church.
As is traditional, Holy Name of Mary's Knights of Columbus will serve the God Squad members a simple breakfast.
UPDATED: 12/6 - Your editor just learned that Memphis Mae's donated very generous trays of food last night as well. Thank you Greg!

It's always nice to know that you will be there to record these great kids in action. You really know it's the Christmas season when the sleepout happens. It's become a Croton tradition.
ReplyDeleteWe see so much unhappy news about today's youth. What I have seen, in my personal world, is how much our churches and houses of worship can be instrumental in turning out upstanding citizens. This is one of many local examples of the fine work faith can do. Linda
DeleteThank you Maria, it is because of this blog that So many people heard about it and came to support the kids!!!
