MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

Unbelievable and lucky for us: kicked to the curb; a strange little ceramic tree music box still bearing its Lefton Made in Japan label--strange because it has little holes for plastic bulbs--no doubt meant to be a light up tree somewhere in its life and instead being mounted to this music box with label; don't think it's a marriage but just an odd little piece; still works; still revolves! No chips or cracks. Just missing one red berry.

U.S. Metal Toy buildings; the P.S. 23 School Coin Bank--another great find from the 50's--adore the graphics--lots of "putzabilities" - click on the link http://www.toyconnect.blogspot.com/2013/03/us-metal-toy-mfg-co-school-ps-23-coin.html

Barbie had a birthday: she's 54 now http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2013/03/happy-birthday-barbie.html

2 pages of fab vintage-inspired Easter containers from Shackman http://www.shackman.com/retail/index.php?cPath=7_88

We love re-visiting this putz house scene from Linda's aunt, circa 2010, because it shows the decorating possibilities of mixing in other types of vintage Christmas with a great old photograph. Click on the photo.

  2. I picked up a bunch of bottle brush trees after Christmas at Lowe's. Somewhere on this site you ran a tutorial for dying them. Can you re-post?

  3. Lefton revolving christmas tree holes aren't for lights, they are for toothpicks. It's an H'ordeve's tree.

    1. Yes so we discovered when we found a toothpick broken off and still buried in one of the holes!

  4. Hi! I have one of those trees you photoed above. Cannot figure out what it is to do. It’s a tad skewed, will not push down as low as yours. Puzzled!

    1. This was a tad skewed as well. It seemed to have been a production issue. Other folks have mentioned this as well.
