A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO FEED THE BIRDS & ETHAN LEWIS FROM THE CROTON ARBORETUM

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO FEED THE BIRDS AND ETHAN LEWIS FROM THE CROTON ARBORETUM

Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you first to Rob and Maria Armanini, owners of Feed the Birds—the local source for everything related to wild-birds—for supporting the Arboretum through the sale of reusable shopping bags emblazoned with our logo and the words “We Support the Croton Arboretum.”

The Armanini's produced the bags at their own expense and have been selling them at their store for several months and donating 100% of the proceeds to the Arboretum. The bags are made of Non-Woven Polypropylene (NWPP), a fabric that is recyclable, non-toxic, non-allergenic, and machine washable.

Thank you also to one of our youngest supporters, middle schooler and budding entrepreneur Ethan Lewis. He borrowed bags from Feed the Birds to sell at his brother's soccer games, then arranged to sell them at Shoprite during the holidays, and he solicited donations from friends and family.

Together, the Armanini's and Ethan have raised $1,174 for the Arboretum!

  1. What a great example of a Croton business and a Croton boy stepping up to the plate. My hats off to you all.
