--CROTON RECORD SO FAR IS 2-0; SCORE C-H 14, HEN HUD 6
--Defense was outstanding against the Sailors, who sprung only a handful of big plays from a spread offense that’s always in hurry-up mode. Croton stopped its upriver rival twice on downs inside its 30 late in the game. “That’s really been our one constant,” Tigers middle linebacker Matt Gennarelli said. “It’s only two games in, but the defense has stepped up big-time. The coaches had a really strong game plan for us, and except for a few big plays we shut them down. The offense is a problem, though.”
--Hen Hud (1-1) was very physical on defense, but the legs eventually got weary.
