WISH YOU WERE HERE: A CROTON POSTCARD PART 1, ST. AUGUSTINE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

How wonderful to find the story of Croton-on-Hudson, told in picture postcards--beautifully archived--courtesy of the Croton Historical Society of course.

And so we're starting a new series here at EverythingCroton: Wish You Were Here, A Croton Postcard

Part 1 - click on the photo - two postcards of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, circa 1917 and the other dated 1955.

Stay tuned for more Croton postcards! And for a little St. A history:  http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2011/08/st-augustines-episcopal-church-another.html

  1. Very interesting to see the differences. No church sign for example but some things never change. Like those ugly telephone poles.

  2. It's such a sweet little church, well placed on the lot, and some morning the sunlight in the bell tower is a sight to see.
