AND NOW A POST-NOVEMBER ELECTION WORD FROM VOICE OF CROTON...

Welcome to Everything Croton, (while the New One is down) a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

AND NOW A POST-NOVEMBER ELECTION WORD FROM VOICE OF CROTON:

Despite falling short in securing Board of Trustee seats in the 2024 election, Voice of Croton candidates Gary Eisinger and Nigel Ravelo achieved something truly extraordinary and unprecedented in our Village. Their campaign was a testament to the power of grassroots action, neighborly dedication, and the shared determination of Croton residents to demand better representation from their local government. None of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts and unwavering support of this community. Thank you, Croton!

When Gary and Nigel launched their write-in campaign just two months before election day, they did so as a direct response to the frustration felt by countless residents—residents who had grown tired of being ignored by the Mayor and the current Board of Trustees. Their campaign wasn’t a protest; it was a bold bid to bring real change, to ensure that the voices of Croton residents were finally heard and prioritized.

This campaign, funded and run entirely by concerned residents, struck a powerful chord. Gary and Nigel earned nearly 35% of the vote during a high-turnout presidential election year—an achievement that cannot be overstated. Support for Voice of Croton came from residents across the political spectrum, united by one clear demand: change.
The message is indisputable. Croton’s residents are desperate for leadership that listens and acts in their best interest. The groundwork has been laid, and the momentum will continue to grow. We must remain engaged, demand transparency and no longer tolerate the status quo. Next year, with two trustee seats and the mayoral position up for election, the opportunity for change is closer than ever. Croton, let’s finish what we’ve started!
