CROTON YACHT CLUB OPENS ITS DOORS TO ALL RESIDENTS WHO REMAIN WITHOUT POWER

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Over the past few days, the Croton Yacht Club membership have worked tirelessly to restore the facility to normalcy. (Click on the photos below.) Beginning 12 noon Monday 11/5, we are opening our doors to all Village Residents who are still out of power and or heat. The Yacht Club will be open and available between the hours of 10AM to 10PM for residents to warm up and or charge their cell phones. We ask all residents who receive this notice to share the information with those families who are still suffering the impact of hurricane Sandy.

We would also like to remind residents that the Yacht Club is committed to hosting its annual Veterans Day luncheon Sunday immediately following  the Village ceremony scheduled for 11 AM.

Sincerely,
The Croton Yacht Club, Inc.

  1. Maybe we can put the raised parking garage here instead, lol, and the restaurant on stilts. Then I suppose we'd block the river views. One wonders how much the lease is really worth for this "valuable" piece of property. Long live the yacht club.

  2. Maybe it's the yacht club who is paying too much for a property that floods like clockwork and even more so at events like these. I heard even Half Moon Bay got swamped.

  3. I'd like a reservation for two please, rooftop.

  4. Texas is getting swamped with Hurricane Harvey. Imagine how much worse Sandy could have been. Anyway, the latest talk about a riverside restaurant involves the old train station that we don't even own, has limited access, and whose 'river view' is blocked by freight and garbage trains covered in grafitti. We need to stop wishing and supporting the great restaurants we have instead. Of course none of these people has ever owned a business let alone a restaurant!!!!
