The blog often gets questions about certain facebook pages, protocols, etc. Truth is many of us are not on social media---and such questions are best directed to the site itself or the page admin. On the issue of bots and how to recognize them, however, there's plenty out there---and happy to share---good luck....

How to recognize a bot---Common signs include: Suspicious or incomplete profile info--Very high posting frequency--Generic or repetitive comments--Inconsistent grammar or odd phrasing--Excessive friend requests--Membership in many unrelated groups---Bots often leave strange, irrelevant, or overly enthusiastic or bombastic comments especially on large pages, political, or viral posts.
