Please see the important notice below. Board of Education members will be present this evening to answer any questions you may have regarding the notice. The meeting will be held at 8:00 pm in the library at the Croton-Harmon High School, which is located at 36 Old Post Road South, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.

NOTICE

PLEASE BE ADVISED that at 10:45 a.m. on May 14, 2018, Jordan Humphrey, whose name appears on the Ballot for election to the Croton – Harmon Union Free School District Board of Education, informed the District that he does not meet the one-year residency requirement necessary to be seated as a Board member. Due to the short notice, Mr. Humphrey’s name will continue to appear on the Ballot at the time of the election on May 15, 2018. However, please be aware that notwithstanding the amount of votes cast for Mr. Humphrey, if any, he will not be eligible to be sworn in as a Board member as a result of the Annual election on May 15, 2018. Write-in votes are permitted.

  1. They want us to entrust a $47M annual budget to people who can't do a simple basic personnel qualification vetting?

And if this was known at 10:45am and a meeting was set for 8pm, why did the Village notice of meeting come out at 7:38pm-- 22 MINUTES before the meeting?

Sloppy and unprofessional all the way around is putting it mildly.

  2. How is this notice helpful? What if you voted by absentee ballot? So a handful of people now get to decide who the trustee will be? Kind of like getting your own personal agenda in. With the kind of school taxes we pay you would think someone would have done their homework but like village elections, people don't pay attention.
