CROTON RESIDENT KATHLEEN RIEDY, OBITUARY

Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Long time resident Kathleen Riedy has passed away. A true loss for our village, a staunch opponent of Harmon re-zoning and Metro-Enviro, an active member of The Rotary. Here is the link to her obituary, as well as visitation hours at Carter's; link is only good for a few weeks: http://www.nyjnews.com/obits/index_full.php3

  1. What a loss for the village. She was an excellent attorney, she always stood up for what was right, she went against the board on Metro Enviro, and had great arguments against the Harmon housing plans. She was also a strong advocate for shopping locally and just an all around great person.

  2. I just found out about Kathy's passing in the UAlbany Alumni magazine. As a co-member of the class of 1979, I knew Kathy to always have a smile on her face, and a sunny demeanor. We lost touch after graduation as does happen, but this sad piece of news prompted some warm memories of her. I understand she was a fine local attorney and community servant, and devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. I am sure she is missed by all who knew her.
