VILLAGE BOARD PASSES MASSIVE "AFFORDABLE" HOUSING, APARTMENT RENTAL RE-ZONING

Additional information to follow. Stay tuned.  As to the inquiries about whether or not board members voting affirmatively actually live in the substantial area to be re-zoned, please make your own inquiries. Trustee Horowitz voted no.

As to the projected load on the village wells and how it will affect the wells' capacity, as well as the load on the Ossining sewage treatment plant, we haven't seen any numbers.

First up, remembering Randolph Scott, who died this date in 1987--an American film actor whose career spanned from 1928 to 1962.  As a leading man for all but the first three years of his cinematic career, Scott appeared in a variety of genres, including social dramas, crime dramas, comedies, adventure tales, war films....However, his most enduring image is that of the tall-in-the-saddle Western hero.   Out of his more than 100 film appearances over 60 were in Westerns...YOU CAN READ MORE HERE

Next is a fab repro from putz artisan Steve a.k.a. PUTZINVT; simply perfect in every way. Read more about it here.

FOR THOSE FOLLOWING THE PLEASANTVILLE DEPEW STREET LIGHTHOUSE APARTMENT PROPOSAL--DEFEATED IN TIE PLANNING BOARD VOTE

THE EXAMINER EWS - In a stunning turn of events, Lighthouse Development’s Depew Street residential project was voted down, failing to gain the requisite support of the Pleasantville Planning Commission.

The 3-3 vote last Wednesday evening saw commission members Henry Leyva, David Keller and Anjali Sauthoff oppose the project while Chairman Russell Klein, Phil Myrick and James MacDonald voted in favor. The commission’s current vacancy left it without a seventh vote to break the deadlock.

FORMER ANTON'S RESTAURANT LOCATION TO HAVE NEW RESTAURANT OCCUPANT

Over the course of the last month, this blog has received many inquiries about the former Anton location---a few of these inquiries asserted that it had been sold for "apartment rental housing". To our knowledge, this is simply incorrect. The site will once again be home to a local restaurant. Stay tuned.
