Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
The 45th Annual Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger is coming up on Oct. 19th in Croton on Hudson, NY (just about 30 minutes north of New York City by train). The event is organized by an all-volunteer organization and proceeds benefit Feeding Westchester and several other local anti-hunger organizations, as well as WhyHunger (co-founded by Harry Chapin), an orphanage in Mozambique, and a school for deaf and deaf-blind children in Haiti. Last year, more than 1,300 participants and donors helped to raise and give away $56,000 to fight hunger! They'll have a 5K Race and Walk, a 10K Race, and a One Mile Fun Run. The first 300 registrants in 5K and 10K get a free t-shirt. Can't join in person? You can participate wherever you live by registering for the virtual event! Or you can make a donation!
