New Video Release - Trek for Trout 2025
In an earlier issue we highlighted an event, Trek for Trout, where we teamed up with members of Trout Unlimited, NY Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Trout Power, Native Fish Coalition, Paul Smith’s College and SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry to post signs at almost 150 brook trout ponds throughout the Adirondack Park. This is part of a citizen science initiative aimed at collecting information from anglers about their fishing trip through a pond-specific QR code survey.
Check out the newly released video that showcases this incredible partnership and the dedication these organizations have in supporting brook trout conservation in the Adirondacks.
P.S. - If you spot one of these signs while you’re out fishing, please take a minute to complete the survey after your trip. Sharing information about your trip helps us better understand the fishery and ensure it’s being managed for maximum benefit for not only the resource, but also, you as an angler.
