If you have no plans to travel but you’re thinking how nice a trip would be in 2026, then signing up for Global Entry might be just the incentive you need to plan an adventure. It almost sounds like something from Seinfeld. You’re not going anywhere, but you want to get back as fast as possible. The Global Entry card speeds up reentry at U.S. airports by using automated kiosks or facial recognition lanes instead of waiting on immigration and customs lines. It also can expedite U.S. border crossings.

Although I was not happy about the hassle and complexity of this process, I agreed to sign up. Finally, it was done, or so I thought since there was one more step: the interview process.
