2016: FEED THE BIRDS WELCOMES CET 1ST GRADE CLASS

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton-on-Hudson: our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

And now a word from CET's Patricia Lynch: Once again, Bob from 'Feed the Birds' welcomed Mrs. Lynch's First Grade class into his shop. The First Graders at C.E.T. are learning about how people in the community have many different jobs and talents and all make our community a great place to live.  The students learned about different types of seed, bird houses, and even how to operate their own business one day!  Each First Grade class is visiting a different business in Croton and interviewing the employees.  Thank you Bob for hosting the First Graders again and for the bird rulers, books and juice too!

FEED THE BIRDS IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF HARMON, 326 S. RIVERSIDE AVENUE, 862-4700.

PART 2, CROTON LITTLE LEAGUE OPENING DAY AND PARADE 2016, PHOTOS & MORE

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Here's the last of the photos from the Croton Little League Opening Day/Parade on April 16th (You can see Part 1 and a full list of this year's sponsors here http://bit.ly/1Snfqt3)

Well it's unanimous! This was one of the best opening days yet, a real slice of Americana. Peter Marengo--your master of ceremonies so to speak--gave a great talk on the importance of baseball in our country and doing your very best in life. He thanked the village board and staff, as well as all the parents for their hard work.  He was also sure to thank all of this year's sponsors, with a special note to NK Electric, Mark Franzoso, Gemmola & Assoc. etal, for the new pressbox and scoreboard, as well as Happy Hearts, Feed the Birds, Croton Colonial, Rivertowns Realty and so forth. He also stressed the importance of returning the favor by supporting all the local businesses who had a hand in making the event a reality.

Legendary CLL Coach Mel Giarolo threw out the first pitch and Billy Roberts led the crowd in singing the Star Spangled Banner. Click on the photos below.
