HOLY NAME'S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS PRESENT SEPTA WITH $2,000 CHECK
The
Holy Name of Mary Knights of Columbus presented a check for $2000.00 to the
CH-SEPTA (Special Education PTA) on Friday January 27th. The Funds will be used
to support an after school program for children with special needs at CET
Elementary School. The program will enable students to develop important social

SERVICES, HENRY "STRETCH" JACOBS
Henry (Stretch) Jacobs passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 26th. Stretch lived in Croton-on-Hudson since 1965 and was known and loved for being friends to all and a master storyteller. Stretch was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 12, 1929. He served in the US Army and graduated from Brooklyn College. Stretch was a freelance stenographer for many years and eventually started his own court reporting service – Henry Jacobs Associates in New York City.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Judy Jacobs, and by his loving children – Larry (and wife Julie,) of St. Paul MN, Mai (and husband David) of Beacon NY, and Paul (and wife Jennifer) of Amherst MA. Stretch was a deep source of love and support for his six grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. The family welcomes friends to visit their home on Saturday (2-4pm). A memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Center for Constitutional Rights in Henry Jacobs’ name is suggested. (https://ccrjustice.org/donate)

ACTRESS MARY TYLER MOORE HAS DIED

Tyler Moore, whose eponymous 1970s series helped usher in a new era for women
on television, died Wednesday at the age of 80, her longtime representative

CROTON AUTO PARK HOSTS PINEWOOD DERBY
For the past
seven plus years, Croton Auto Park has sponsored a night of racing for Croton
Cub Scouts Pack 28 members and their families.
Croton Auto Park hosted 108 kids and their parents, well over 200 people on Friday, January 20th from 7pm to 11pm, and provided a fun venue, pizza, soft drinks, etc., and trophies for all the kids. This Pinewood Derby event is the place where the scouts get to race the car they have worked on building, and it's a fun night for all, lead by Scout Leader David Parker.
