As many of you know, a
number of early made in Japan putz houses had tiny figures--a Santa Claus for example, or a little girl--usually a slip
bisque or clay of some sort—click on the photo, ALL ORIGINAL--and often these were lost over time. Some of us
have taken to casting or carving our own replacements—(see Howard Lamey's efforts below) and others have been looking for “substitutes”.
Here’s what we’ve found so far:
