In our walk on the riverfront today, we were startled to see that the bulkhead walkway has now been completely cordoned off, but more than this, that sections of the walkway immediately adjacent to the Croton Yacht Club building itself are suddenly upended/or sunken for lack of another way to put it. Best to let the photos below do the talking. One assumes the village is aware of the situation but these photos will be sent anyway.

ReplyDeletenah, they'll hire another consultant who'll tell us what we already know for another $18 grand or worse, then shore it up temporarilly. Bicycle lanes are more important. Energy loans are more important. Rezoning Harmon is more important.

The Village should be AT LEAST try to fix these sinkholes on a best-effort temporary basis. How irresponsible to let these pictures and the story go on for so many months.
