p.s. A commenter noted that there seemed to be no news on Vietnam despite the fact that so many Croton residents served. On the contrary, there was an enormous amount of Vietnam coverage; see the 4 part series here on Croton's Vietnam Vets http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-vietnam-years-crotons-vets-part-4.html

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

One of the nicest things about the AJNA-sponsored "artisan fairs" (Thanks Tina Triburgo!) is the opportunity to see some very talented Hudson Valley artists. Jessica Miller is one of them. Click on the photo. (We first became familiar with her very unique and colorful style at the annual Croton Yacht Club River Day...see photos from the 2013 River Day here http://www.everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2013/09/part-2-photos-from-2013-hudson-river.html)

AJNA'S 9/29/13 FALL ARTISAN FAIR, PART 1: A LOOK AT THE VENDORS--JEORJIA SHEA

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

One of the nicest things about the AJNA-sponsored "artisan fairs" (Thanks Tina Triburgo!) is the opportunity to see cutting edge fashion and one-of-a-kind accessories.

For us, that means Jeorgia Shea. Shea has been exhibiting at various venues in the village for some time now--and was at the AJNA Fall Artisan Fair yesterday.  Her specialty is textile art: hand-painted dresses, upcycling, and more, restyled vintage accessories, etc. (Click on the photo. You can also see a fab black and white dress here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/6980148064/)

If you'd like to see more of what Shea has to offer, here's her ETSY shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Jeorjia
