Ring in the holidays with Historic Hudson Valley--Dickens’s ‘Christmas Carol,’ Holiday Boutique make the season merry--Sleepy Hollow, NY (Nov. 15, 2017) —  Celebrate the spirit of the season with dramatic performances of Dickens’s ‘Christmas Carol’ at the historic Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow on select weekends in December.

Complete with musical accompaniment, master storyteller Jonathan Kruk brings to life the classic Charles Dickens story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, and Tiny Tim in this Historic Hudson Valley production. Performances take place on Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 9-10 and 16-17, at 3:30, 4:45, and 6pm.

Historic Hudson Valley is also adding to the bounty of the season with its Holiday Boutique at the Philipsburg Manor Museum Shop. Holiday shoppers can feel good about buying local and supporting educational programs while wrapping up their entire gift list at the store. Stocked with Hudson Valley-inspired and holiday-themed merchandise, including artisan foods, books about the Hudson Valley, winter solstice-scented candles, handcrafted jewelry, and regional artists’ wares, the shelves are full of locally sourced items for everyone!

Details: Dickens’s ‘Christmas Carol’
Performances take place at the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow on Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 9-10 and 16-17 at 3:30, 4:45, and 6pm.

Capacity is very limited for Dickens’s ‘Christmas Carol’ and tickets should be purchased in advance at www.hudsonvalley.org or by calling 914-366-6900. Online ticket prices are $25 for adults and $20 for children under 18. Historic Hudson Valley recommends the event for ages 10 and up. Members of Historic Hudson Valley receive a $5 per ticket discount.

The shop is at Philipsburg Manor, 381 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, and is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am - 5pm and Sundays from noon - 5pm through Dec. 23.

NEW FROM EFSP: THE INTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS FAIR IN UTRECHT

Ah the thrill of the hunt--from one side of the planet to the other!  Our friends at European Film Star Postcards were at The InternatIonal Collectors Fair in Utrecht...

Here's what they found:

This Saturday, we visited the International Collectors Fair in Utrecht and we had a great time. 'De Verzamelaarsjaarbeurs' (the Dutch name) is one of the biggest vintage fairs in the world and located in five huge halls of the Jaarbeurs centre. There are more than 2000 participants who sell old records and Cd's, antiques, bric-a-brac and of course postcards. Here are 15 of Paul's acquisitions.
