Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

We were so happy to read about this over at Tom Faranda's blog. John is a standard at every veterans day event here in the village. Here are some great photos from the event, courtesy of Tom Faranda: http://tomfaranda.typepad.com/folly/2011/01/my-friend-john-sekelsky-honored-by-the-knights-of-columbus.html

FOR LOVE OF APPLE STRUDEL @ CROTON DELICATESSAN & PASTRY

Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Few things are more welcome on a cold winter's day than apple strudel. We're talking REAL apple strudel. The kind that has just the right amount of cinnamon, icing, apples and flaky layers of pastry. We're talking traditional GERMAN apple struedel, not the psuedo frozen desserts you find at the supermarket. Of course, we're also talking about Croton Delicatessan & Pastry, also known as Mike's German Deli on Grand Street--and while we also love his chocolate dipped almond horns and apricot bars, we rate the strudel number one.

Croton Delicatessan & Pastry, 123 Grand Street. 271-9538.
And a reminder: On vacation from 1/19 - 1/28, returning 1/29.
