Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things
Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in
short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Coming soon! The next Croton Historical Society exhibit will be all about Route 9--also known as North and South
Riverside Avenues--before and after demolition. As you know, many village houses and businesses were lost at this time to the highway--and there is little physical evidence that some businesses existed at all.
That's why everyone was so excited when Dann & Winn Chesnard recently donated this very old medicine bottle from one of Croton's earliest pharmacies (John A. Given). Click on the photo. Thanks guys! We'll keep you posted on the opening date for the new exhibit.
P.S. A small portion of the new exhibit will also be dedicated to actress Fay Bainter, who lived here in Croton.
