THANKSGIVING 2014: THE CROTON ROTARY ANSWERS THE CALL, DELIVERS 165 TURKEYS TO THE EMERGENCY FOOD BANK

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

THE CROTON ROTARY ANSWERS THE CALL: Most of us don't need to be convinced that  there are many people struggling to make ends meet in our village and the town at large. Last year, the Croton Rotary delivered 100 turkeys to the Food Bank for Thanksgiving; this year the need was even greater.

When the request came in for an additional 65 turkeys over and above 2013, the Croton Rotary rose to the occasion. 165 turkeys were delivered to the Croton Cortlandt Food bank this morning at 8 am, over one ton, in a truck driven by Mark Franzoso of Fransozo Contracting. Rotary volunteers were in the parking lot ready to unload them despite the cold and the early hour.

So hats off to the Croton Rotary Club! Want to know more about this fine organization? Visihttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Rotary-Club-of-Croton-on-Hudson/130964137093077

  2. Organizations like the Lions and the Rotary should give lessons to our board on what public service means.
