Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our
homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Recently The Croton Historical Society was generously given a large cache of slides spanning many years and had them converted to digital copies. Of particular interest were the photos of the Duck Pond before the highway came through. These are all circa early 1960's--with a smattering of 1970's--and it's been fun to "zoom" in on long gone details. Click on the photos and enjoy!
p.s. If you are not yet a member of The Croton Historical Society, you can download a membership application here: http://www.crotononhudson-ny.gov/Public_Documents/CrotonHudsonNY_WebDocs/HistoricalSociety/HSMembership.pdf

Brilliant of the society to convert old slides so these great Croton memories aren't lost. Hot chocolate and skating at the Duck Pond, happy days.
ReplyDeleteTom Simone spent the entire weekend cataloging the items on separate disks for the files. Kudos as always to our volunteers.
