UPDATED: KENOTIN POP UP CLOSED SHORTLY THEREAFTER---THE ACKER HOUSE closed in 2017 and became STATE FARM INSURANCE.
Welcome to
Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes,
our issues, our businesses, our schools
--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
For those of you who missed it, there's a new pop-up shop in town called Kenotin--it's on the first floor of the Acker House and will be there till year-end--and perhaps beyond. It features the work of local artists and crafts people. You can read and see more about it--and some of the items featured--by clicking on the link http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-few-photos-from-opening-of-pop-up.html
Moving along...Today Kenotin held a special event for Small Business Saturday: Santa Claus popped in--and what a great Santa!
And now, Henna on Hudson is also showing some of her wonderful hand painted Christmas ornaments and candles at Kenotin. There are also some gorgeous fashions too by Moontide Dyers.
And if you're looking for something different, check out Croton's Loomis Mayer. He does these amazing charcoal portraits and his work would make a great gift for the holidays--or anytime. Here's a snap from his fb page http://on.fb.me/1w57WSR - or you contact him directly at oomis@aol.com
Click on the photos to see a few snaps from the event.
That is one great looking Santa Claus, very Edmund Gwynn
