Continuing
our 2012 CROTON MEMORIES SERIES here at EverythingCroton: A 1963 CROTON WINTER CARNIVAL
We
couldn’t resist posting this charming entry on Croton's 1963 Winter Carnival; click on the photo. Winners of the skating races at the Duck Pond that day were congratulated by the reigning Carnival Queen, Barbara Christopher. We do so enjoy this series. Thank you. Keep fighting to keep Croton the little sweet village it is!
ReplyDeleteWas, is and will be thanks to courageous residents who have taken on the special Harmon density agenda folks. Now that I am done with that, this was one of the nicest postings to date. Thanks for re-printing the list of winners too. It just so happens I know someone who will get a kick out of seeing this again.
ReplyDeleteThis memories series and the Croton postcard series are fantastic. Many thanks to you and the historical society volunteers.
ReplyDeleteWE HAVE THE BEST HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all these great memories. Though we were driven out of Croton long ago by crazy taxes, we still miss the old days.
